Arjun Sarkar

Mr. Sarkar is a partner at Sarkar & Stolley. His practice includes labor and employment cases, immigration matters and mental health issues. Mr. Sarkar practices both at the state and the federal level.

Mr. Sarkar obtained his JD from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. There, he was a Primary Editor on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Law and Policy. Mr. Sarkar conducted significant research on mediation and arbitration models. He also successfully completed graduate level business and social work courses.

Mr. Sarkar attended The John Marshall Law School his first year. At John Marshall, he was a member of the Dean's List. He was also invited to join the Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Honors Council and the Moot Court Council. Mr. Sarkar was a final selection for the prestigious American Bar Association Judicial Internship and Opportunity Program.

Mr. Sarkar obtained his BA from Northwestern University. At Northwestern, he was a member of the Dean's List and Gamma Sigma Alpha, the Greek honor society.

Mr. Sarkar has interned for the Honorable Arnette R. Hubbard at the Illinois trial court level and for the Honorable Frank A. Shepherd at the Florida appellate court level. Prior to law school, Mr. Sarkar worked as a Litigation Project Assistant for the law firm Jenner & Block LLP for four years.

Mr. Sarkar is admitted to practice law in Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Indian American Bar Association. Mr. Sarkar is also a legal volunteer at the Indo-American Center and World Relief, both located in Chicago, Illinois. He is fluent in Hindi, Bengali, and Urdu, and he is conversational in Spanish.
